My only experience with Dr. McLarty is from hearing him preach at College on occasion. I pray that Harding can continue to have the same impact on future students that it has had on me!

Your blog continues to serve as a great way for me to stay connected with Harding - I appreciate the work you continue to put in!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17782893010524638923noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20355581.post-46880792385375251612012-11-08T19:04:23.672-06:002012-11-08T19:04:23.672-06:00Well done, Frank!Well done, Frank!BrettEhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10100177175320333219noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20355581.post-88488138101761353732012-11-08T16:21:14.565-06:002012-11-08T16:21:14.565-06:00Well said Frank. I haven't read any dissenting views so I have no comment on those, but I would hope everyone refrained from utilizing mediums frequented by non-believers. That can do greater harm to the Kingdom than most any selection for president or any other office. If a take advanced a view (even a correct one), but put a stumbling block in the way of a seeker it wasn't worth it.

It should be noted my limited interactions from days of yore with Rich, Don and Mark were extremely positive and I am a huge fan of Bruce McLarty. I was thrilled when I read the announcement of his promotion. The above comments should be read with that in mind. Change is a given and how we handle it as individuals, as the church, and as a university, determines how "relevant" and "effective" we will be though the years. I pray along with many others that President McLarty and the other leaders at Harding will help the school navigate the change that will come and use it to grow towards God rather than fighting against change.Matt Leehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10388814620173515972noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20355581.post-82316933543290180412012-11-08T13:58:42.256-06:002012-11-08T13:58:42.256-06:00Frank. I appreciate your words and understanding as we who love Harding seek to verbalize ways in which we hope she'll grow. We don't represent all alumni, obviously, but we do represent many who really want the best for Harding and all who serve her. I'm optimistic that Dr. McLarty will hear these differing voices and that much good will come from it. Thanks, again. I still have great memories of your Knights armor and our joust on the front lawn!Rich Littlehttp://www.richlittle.orgnoreply@blogger.com
