In case you were wondering, a recent poll of 1,900 on-campus students at Harding found that 77% of them are going to vote for McCain and only 17% for Obama (6% were undecided). The students who most favored Obama tended to major in communications, Bible, or liberal arts. I don't have the numbers for faculty/staff, but my guess is 60/40 for McCain.
President Burks cancelled chapel today, the 3rd time during his 20+ year tenure, so students would have extra time to vote today.
Hey, that's not Sarah Palin. Is that a goof or were you trying to see how observant your readers are?
ReplyDeleteWhat do you mean that's not Palin? ;-) If you click on the image, it will take you to the SNL clip with McCain and Tina Fey that I took the image from.
ReplyDeleteI got a big kick out of that clip the other night. It really says a lot about McCain's character to go on the show and allow himself to be the butt of the jokes. I especially liked his appearance on the weekend update section of the show.
ReplyDeleteMcCain is probably the best politician I've ever seen on SNL. He appeared 4 years ago when Bush was running for re-election, and several of those skits are classics. Wish they'd add those skits to the SNL Political Gallery
